REVD PROF DAVID WILKINSON INSTALLED AS ECUMENICAL CANON OF DURHAM CATHEDRAL

 Alex Jordan

We are pleased to announce that our director, Revd Prof. David Wilkinson was installed as an ecumenical canon of Durham Cathedral on January 14th. Prof. Wilkinson was welcomed into the cathedral community alongside several other lay, clerical and ecumenical canons, in recognition for his contributions to the community, including his work with ECLAS.

In Prof. Wilkinson’s words, it is an immense privilege to be installed as an ecumenical canon in a cathedral of such local and global significance. I am grateful to the Bishop of Durham and the Dean and Chapter for welcoming those of us from different church traditions and for the affirmation of the importance of science in mission and ministry.

We are honoured that Prof. Wilkinson’s work has been celebrated in this way and are keen to maintain our links to the cathedral community.
