Welcome to Stories of Science and Faith, our resource for churches and Christians interested in learning more about the relationship between science and faith over time.

Here you will find a range of stories investigating how the relationship between science and faith can be collaborative and supportive in nature. Feel free to use them for inspiration for sermons, as the basis for reading and discussion groups, or adapt them for parish magazines or newsletters. Each story is complete in itself, but also has suggested further reading.

We hope you enjoy exploring these stories. We will be adding further series, including an upcoming ‘Advent’ series, so check back in with us later in the year or get in touch with our project lead, Dr Amanda Rees, if you have topics you’d like to see covered.

Our research

Stories of Science and Faith is part of ECLAS’ aim to provide an antidote to the conflict thesis between science and religion.

We would love to hear your thoughts on these materials – how you used them, how you adapted them, and how your audiences responded to them.

Your responses will be invaluable in helping us understand how people view that relationship in their daily life, and in helping us decide on the kinds of stories we include in our upcoming series on Advent.

Further information on our research, including our ethics approval and how to contact us, can be found on our research page.
