What Kind of Society Produces an Ocean Full of Plastic?
ECLAS’ Dr Sam Robinson explores the systems and processes behind our oceans’ plastic problem.
Our Project Director Revd Prof David Wilkinson has authored a new entry for the St Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology.
‘Theology and Cosmology’ is a comprehensive history of the development of cosmology in the twentieth century, charting the evolution of scientific theories including General Relativity, the Big Bang, and multiverse theory. Wilkinson explains their implications for theology and philosophy in an accessible style.
Prof Wilkinson focuses on the continuing interplay between theology and cosmology, presenting the dialogue between scientific and religious thinkers in the development of key theories and on specific issues.
Modern cosmology poses questions for theology about the nature of creation, new creation, and what it means to be human. Similarly, theological insights and challenges can spur science on to make new discoveries about the universe. This new resource is essential reading for Christians interested in cosmology, and for students and researchers of the history of science and theology.
